It has often been said, that “Christianity is the only army that shoots its own wounded.” It is not something we like to talk about and often wish would go away, but the pain that men and women experience behind the closed doors of ministry can be quite devastating. It is ever so devastating because it often comes disguised in the form of “sheep’s clothing.”
Sue Edwards and Kelley Matthews have taken on the tough subject “Leading Women Who Wound.” It is much more than a “how to” book or documentary on the subject. While there is plenty of helpful and “how to” information, it really is a book born out of life experiences. Sue and Kelley have shared their heart and their stories. They have given us not only a peek into the heart and soul of women but a look into their own lives, their struggles and the lives of many women they have encountered along the way.
“Leading Women Who Wound” is a book that allows the discussion and healing to begin and offers encouragement for women to come out of the shadows and into the light of a better day. The candidness and vulnerability is refreshing. The message is clear. There is hope and a future beyond the pain.
This is a must read for any woman in leadership and particularly in ministry!
